Yas is an artificial island located in Abu Dhabi. Developed by Aldar Properties, the project is located 24 kilometers east of the city center, near the international airport. The island covers an area of โโ2,500 hectares, and construction began in 2007.
One of Yas's main attractions is the Yas Marina Circuit, which has hosted the annual Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix since 2009. The island is also famous for its theme parks, including Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi and Ferrari World. The luxurious five-star W Abu Dhabi โ Yas Island hotel, Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi waterpark, and CLYMB Abu Dhabi indoor adventure center are also located here. Other attractions include SeaWorld Abu Dhabi and the Disneyland theme park, which is currently under construction.
