The Abu Dhabi Natural History Museum is a unique institution located in the cultural zone of Saadiyat Island in the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is the largest museum of its kind in the Middle East, covering events and phenomena that occurred over the 13.8 billion years of the existence of the Universe and Earth. Particular attention is paid to the natural history of the Arabian Peninsula.
The museum was initiated by the Abu Dhabi Department of Culture and Tourism in collaboration with the Miral Group. The official opening took place in November 2025. It is not only a cultural heritage, but also a center for scientific research and educational activities.
The architectural design of the 35,000 square meter museum was developed by the Dutch firm Mecanoo. It has become the centerpiece of the Saadiyat Cultural District, adjacent to renowned institutions such as the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Zayed National Museum and the Guggenheim.
